Pitt men's basketball reschedules Notre Dame for Jan. 30 at the Pete
Pitt will play Notre Dame on Jan. 30 at Petersen Events Center, one of three games that were postponed because of covid-19 concerns. The game, originally scheduled for Jan. 2, will begin at 8 p.m. and will be televised by the ACC Network.
The other two postponements — games at Duke and at home against Florida State — have not been rescheduled. Duke was scheduled for Dec. 29, and Pitt would have welcomed Florida State to the Pete on Saturday.
Pitt (6-2, 2-1 ACC) is planning to resume its season at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Georgia Tech. It will be the first of seven games in 21 days, five of them at home.
The Panthers are scheduled to play Syracuse and Duke at the Pete on Jan. 16 and 19 before visiting Boston College on Jan. 23. Then, it’s North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech at home on Jan. 26 and 30 and Feb. 3.
Pitt is 3-0 on the road this season, with victories against Northwestern, Miami and Syracuse.
