College football is still months away, but the honors are rolling in for Pitt and Penn State players.

Pitt defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman and Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons were named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-American team. (Twyman and Parsons earned second-team regular-season honors in 2019.)

Twyman finished the 2019 season with 10 1/2 sacks and 41 tackles for the Panthers. Parsons had 109 tackles, five sacks and four forced fumbles last season for the Nittany Lions.

Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth was named to the Walter Camp second team. Freiermuth finished with 43 catches for 507 yards and seven touchdowns last year.

The Walter Camp Football Foundation is an all-volunteer organization and the caretaker of the nation’s oldest college football All-America team.
