Pitt canceled football practice Thursday after several players displayed symptoms that are associated with covid-19.
“Our medical team decided it was in everyone’s best interest to temporarily pause our Thursday training camp activities so that we could test symptomatic players per our protocol,” athletic director Heather Lyke said. “Based on negative test results received late (Thursday), it has been determined that we can safely resume practice on Friday.”
Pitt will hold its sixth practice Friday since opening training camp Aug. 7.
Meanwhile, ACC presidents and chancellors were meeting Thursday in what was described as a meeting to finalize plans for the fall season.
