After three seasons at Pitt and one at Akron, wide receiver Konata Mumpfield has decided to end his collegiate career and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Mumpfield’s decision further depletes the Panthers’ passing game for the GameAbove Sports Bowl on Dec. 26 after wide receiver Daejon Reynolds and quarterback Nate Yarnell entered the transfer portal.

Mumpfield led the Panthers in receiving this season, with 52 receptions for 813 yards and five touchdowns. In three seasons at Pitt, Mumpfield totaled 154 receptions for 1,940 yards and 11 touchdowns. He transferred to Pitt after the 2021 season after a Freshman All-American season at Akron.
Losing Mumpfield puts the mantle of leadership and production on junior-to-be Kenny Johnson, who was second among Pitt wide receivers this season with 44 receptions for 520 yards and three touchdowns.
