Pitt’s Lance White coaches against Virginia Tech on Dec. 10.

Pitt shut down all women’s basketball activities because of a positive coronavirus test within the program just before the team was scheduled to host Boston College on Thursday afternoon.

The game against the Eagles as well as games against North Carolina on Sunday, at Louisville on Jan. 7 and against Clemson on Jan. 10 have been postponed, the ACC announced in a press release that also noted the Pitt program is undergoing the quarantining and contract tracing proscribed by the conference’s safety protocols.

Pitt hasn’t played since a 67-53 loss at Florida State on Dec. 20. The Panthers are off to a 3-3 start, 1-2 in the ACC.
