The Pitt women’s basketball team will open the season when it hosts George Mason on Nov. 25 at Petersen Events Center, the first of three nonconference games in a 23-game schedule.

The Panthers also will host Hofstra on Nov. 29 and Delaware on Dec. 6.

The Hofstra game will involve familiar faces as the Pride is led by former Pitt associate head coach Danielle Santos Atkinson and a pair of former Panthers in transfers Jaala Henry and Jahsyni Knight.

Pitt is 4-0 all-time against Delaware. They teams haven’t played since 2006.

All three nonconference games are at home, followed by the start of ACC play. Pitt opens conference play at Virginia Tech on Dec. 10 and returns for its ACC home opener against Clemson on Dec. 13. The Panthers will play 20 conference games, a two-game increase from last season.
