Pitt and the ACC announced Tuesday that the Panthers’ women’s basketball game against Notre Dame scheduled for Jan. 14 in South Bend has been postponed.

The change was necessitated by the Pitt program remaining in covid protocol. A statement released concerning the postponement said the Panthers continue to adhere to the protocols implemented by the ACC.

Pitt has not played since a 67-53 loss at Florida State on Dec. 20 and is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in ACC play.

A string of postponed games began last Thursday as a matchup with Boston College at the Petersen Events Center was scrapped.

Sunday’s home contest with North Carolina also was called off, and the Panthers will not play scheduled games against Louisville (Thursday) and Clemson (Sunday).

Pitt’s next game that still is on as scheduled is a home contest with Miami on Jan. 21.
