Pitt women's volleyball moves to No. 2 in nation, highest ranking in program history
A week of upsets saw the Pitt women’s volleyball team move up one spot to No. 2 in the AVCA Division I coaches poll, which was released Monday.
The Panthers (21-1) received 18 first-place votes and 1,529 points to achieve the highest ranking in program history.
Texas, which moved up three spots to No. 1 after beating then-No. 1 Baylor last week, got 43 first-place votes and 1,565 points.
No. 3 Baylor, No. 4 Wisconsin and No. 5 Stanford, which dropped three spots after losing to unranked UCLA last week, round out the top five. Penn State (16-3) moved up one spot to No. 7.
