Pitt’s Blake Hinson, Bub Carrington and Ishmael Leggett claimed All-ACC honors in voting conducted by a 75-person panel of 60 media members and all 15 head coaches. The conference released the results Monday afternoon.

Hinson was named to the All-ACC first team, making it two years in a row with a Pitt representative earning that status. Jamarius Burton was named to the first team last year.

Hinson is averaging 18.8 points per game and leads the conference with 106 3-point field goals (15th-most in ACC history). He scored 10 or more points in all but four games.

Hinson was joined on the first team by North Carolina’s R.J. Davis, Clemson’s P.J. Hall, Duke’s Kyle Filipowski and Wake Forest’s Hunter Sallis.

Carrington finished second in All-Rookie team voting, with 65 points, behind Notre Dame’s Markus Burton and Duke’s Jared McCain (73 each). Carrington also received five votes in Rookie of the Year balloting. Burton won the honor with 46.

Leggett, a transfer from Rhode Island, is Pitt’s second consecutive Sixth Man of the Year honoree, joining Nike Sibande, who won last season. Leggett averaged 11.9 points, 5.5 rebounds (tops among all ACC guards), 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Pitt is 11-3 over the past 14 games and Leggett was the first Pitt player off the bench each time.

Pitt’s Jeff Capel, the 2022-2023 Coach of the Year, was second in the voting this season behind North Carolina’s Hubert Davis (49-12).

North Carolina’s R.J Davis was the runaway winner for Player of the Year, receiving 68 votes over Duke’s Kyle Filipowski (three), Clemson’s P.J. Hall (two), North Carolina’s Armando Bacot (one) and Boston College’s Quinten Post (one).
