Pittsburgh Riverhounds coach Bob Lilley was placed on administrative leave Friday.

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have placed longtime coach Bob Lilley on administrative leave, the team announced in a statement Friday night.

Assistant coach Rob Vincent will serve as acting head coach effective immediately, the team said. The Riverhounds are scheduled to play host to the Indy Eleven at 7 p.m. Saturday at Highmark Stadium.

The statement offered no other details and said the team would have no further comment.

Lilley, a 59-year-old New Jersey native, is in his eighth season as coach of the Riverhounds. With a career record of 415-205-196 over 25 seasons with six teams, he is the winningest active coach in American pro soccer.

Since being hired in 2017, Lilley led the Riverhounds to a 128-64-74 record, making the playoffs in seven straight seasons. This year, the Riverhounds are 10-10-7, in sixth place in the USL Championship standings.
