Pittsburgh Riveters stay atop Great Forest Division after draw with Buffalo

Minah Syam’s stoppage time goal helped the Pittsburgh Riveters earn a 1-1 draw at FC Buffalo on Saturday night to maintain control of first placce in the USL W League’s Great Forest Division.

Syam’s goal was set up on a corner kick by Tessa Dellarose.

Buffalo scored in the 81st minute when Sarah Woods chipped a shot over Riveters keeper Pauline Nelles.

The Riveters improved to 5-1-3. They can lock up the division with a win Friday over Steel City FC (3-1-4) in the regular-season finale.
