Captain Albano won the $350,000 final of the Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids on July 27, 2024, at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

With post positions finalized Wednesday, the 59th edition of the $385,000 Grade 1 Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids is set to go off Saturday evening with a 4:10 post time at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows.

The winners of the two elimination heats run last Saturday, Swingtown and Twisted Destiny, had the first two post selections.

Swingtown, based on the luck of a draw, selected first and chose post 4. Twisted Destiny then selected post 3.

The rest of the posts were set using a random draw.

Twisted Destiny, driven by Dexter Dunn and trained by Chris Ryder, is set as the favorite at 2-1.

Swingtown, driven by Ronnie Wrenn, Jr., and trained by Ron Burke, is set with odds of 4-1.

Prince Hal Hanover, driven by Todd McCarthy and trained by Ian Moore, is in post 8 and hopes to bring home the win among the favorites at 3-1

Burke trains five of the nine horses in the field, including Papi’s Rocket, Rick Wink, Railroad Station and Sippinonsearoc.

Rick Wink, driven by Chris Page, will race out of post 2 and is a 6-1 favorite.

The top four finishers in each of the two $25,000 elimination heats last Saturday advanced automatically to the Adios final.

Make Sense, set in post 5, was fifth in the second elimination heat and grabbed the final spot in the Adios final based on career earnings.

The Adios final, which will be featured on FOX Sports from 4-6 p.m., will be Race 15 on a packed Saturday schedule. The first race post is set for 11:30 a.m.

The championship weekend begins Friday evening with Adios Eve and continue with 16 total races.

The Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association will be on-site Saturday with giveaways, merchandise for sale, wagering support and sweepstakes.
