Toronto forward Natalie Spooner (24) celebrates with teammates after scoring against Minnesota during the first period of a PWHL hockey game in Toronto on Saturday.

The Professional Women’s Hockey League will stage a game between its teams based in Toronto and Montreal at PPG Paints Arena on March 17 at 12:30 p.m.

In conjunction with games played a day earlier between the Ottawa and Boston teams at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena and New York and Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., the games are being called the “PHWL Takeover Weekend.”

Tickets for the game at PPG Paints Arena will go on sale at 2 p.m. on Feb. 9.

The PHWL is in the midst of its inaugural season and has teams based in Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York and Toronto.
