Ravens linebacker Odafe Oweh had 10 sacks last season.

In a move that will end the Odafe Oweh era in Baltimore, the Ravens are trading the former Penn State pass rusher to the Chargers for defensive back Alohi Gilman and a 2026 draft pick. Baltimore also will trade a future seventh-round pick to Jim Harbaugh’s team.

Odafe has 10 total tackles this season and is coming off a double-digit sack season.

The Ravens now save roughly $8 million against their cap and won’t have to worry about a big-money deal for Oweh, who was playing on his fifth-year option. Oweh was on the lesser end of a split snap count with Tavius Robinson, and Oweh’s trade means more snaps for second-round pick Mike Green and increased playing time for David Ojabo, who is in the final year of his deal.

Gilman played college football at Notre Dame and Navy. His younger brother, Alaka’i Gilman, plays safety for Utah.

A former fifth-round pick, Gilman, in his sixth season with the Chargers, has 22 total tackles this fall, and the 28-year-old is in the final year of a two-year, $10.125 million deal.
