It’s must-watch late-summer television for the hardcore NFL fan. Soon, the announcement will be made as to what team will be featured on it.

SportsBetting.ag is allowing you to bet on that. The gambling site has established the Washington Redskins as the favorites to host the show at +125 (in layman’s parlance, that’s $125 would be won on a $100 bet). The Oakland Raiders – who many assumed were the favorites to land the show – are next at +250.

The other three teams that are eligible to be selected by the league for the long-running show are the New York Giants (+300), Detroit Lions (+350) and San Francisco 49ers (+500).

The 49ers reportedly cut a deal to avoid being on “Hard Knocks,” which is something a lot of teams would like to do. Coaches aren’t typically fond of camera crews recording in-house details.

An oddsmaker from SportsBetting suggests that the Raiders would make for a better candidate next year while transitioning to Las Vegas. The Redskins may be intriguing to viewers this year because of a quarterback situation.

Washington took Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins at No. 15 overall in the draft. It also traded for former Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings starter Case Keenum over the offseason. The roster also has longtime Redskins backup (and one-tome Cleveland Browns starter) Colt McCoy.

Veteran erstwhile starter Alex Smith is expected to miss the 2019 season after a gruesome broken leg suffered late last season.
