Alex Rodriguez

Someone needs to tell Alex Rodriguez a rental car is not the safest place to keep $500,000 worth of jewelry and electronics.

On Sunday night, ESPN broadcaster Rodriquez was in San Francisco to call the game between the Giants and Philadelphia Phillies.

Alex Rodriguez had about half a million dollars worth of possessions stolen from a rental vehicle in San Francisco last night. He was in town, working as a ESPN studio analyst for the Giants/Phillies game at Oracle Park. @nbcbayarea https://t.co/N1BRqzAzBl pic.twitter.com/I3Ut1m4nHJ

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Rodriguez parked his rental vehicle a couple of blocks from Oracle Park.

After the game and dinner, the former Yankees slugger discovered someone smashed a window and broke into the car to steal a half-million worth of valuables.

An ESPN-rented car was robbed of $500,000 in goods Sunday, with much of that reportedly belonging to Alex Rodriguez. Local supervisor Matt Haney expressed condolences, but added "we also ask that people please not leave expensive things in their car." https://t.co/n9LetTBXDP

Officer Adam Lobsinger, a San Francisco police spokesman, a camera, a laptop, miscellaneous jewelry and a bag were missing.

No arrests have been made as of Monday night.

Alex Rodriguez made $450 million dollars playing professional baseball. Someone stole $500,000 worth of stuff from his car. I think he’ll find a way to move on.
