Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph was fined $50,000 for his fight with Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett in the waning moments of their game Nov. 14 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Rudolph tussled with Garrett with eight seconds remaining in the Steelers’ 21-7 loss. Garrett took Rudolph to the ground after a third-down pass by the Steelers quarterback. Rudolph grabbed for Garrett’s helmet, prompting Garrett to grab Rudolph’s helmet. When Rudolph approached Garrett, he was hit on the head by his own helmet.
Garrett was ejected and suspended indefinitely by the NFL, the punishment carrying through the end of the 2019 season, including playoffs.
Rudolph was not ejected or suspended.
