Report: Penn State RB Journey Brown could miss season
Penn State running back Journey Brown could be out for the season, Lions247 reported Monday night.
The website reported Penn State confirmed via a statement that Brown is being treated for an unspecified medical condition discovered during the offseason and could “potentially” miss the 2020 season.
Brown led Penn State with 890 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns last season. A Meadville native, he owns Pennsylvania high school records with 722 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in a game.
If Brown is out, Noah Cain, who rushed for 448 yards as a freshman last season, would likely be the lead back for the Nittany Lions. Sophomore Devyn Ford, who rushed for 294 yards last season, including 107 in the season opener against Idaho, also returns.
