Tony Romo is getting paid and getting paid big, allegedly.

According to the New York Post, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback agreed to a new deal with CBS and will make about $17 million per season to call NFL games on the network.

The big money broadcasting deal has been reacted to by a number of NFL players.

According to Pro Football Reference, there were 9 NFL players in the 2019-20 season who made as much or more than Romo will with this new CBS deal, including Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller.

During Romo’s NFL career, he earned a total of $127 million over 14 seasons, per the Post. He made more than $17 million a season three times during his career.
