The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will try to break into the win column Saturday evening as they will visit Louisville City for a United Soccer League Championship matchup.

The Riverhounds own two draws in three matches this season. Included in the start was last Saturday’s 2-2 tie against Bethlehem.

Saturday’s game, set to start at 7 p.m., will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW. It is the final game of four away contests to begin the season. The Riverhounds’ home opener at Highmark Stadium is next Saturday, April 13, against Hartford Athletic.

Pittsburgh won last year’s match at Louisville City 1-0 on a goal from Kenardo Forbes.

Louisville City is the two-time defending league champion. It owns a 2-2-0 record in USL play this season.

A 3-2 loss last Sunday to Birmingham Legion snapped a two-game win streak.

The team is tied for fifth place in the Eastern Conference with the Indy Eleven. Everyone in the standings is looking up at St. Louis FC which leads the conference with three wins and a tie for 10 points.

St. Louis FC will pay a visit to Highmark Stadium on April 20.

Louisville City plays its home matches at Louisville Slugger Park. It also is the home of the Louisville Bats, the Class AAA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

Kevin Kerr scored a goal last week in the match with Bethlehem. It was his 25th career goal with the Riverhounds.

With his next goal, Kerr will move ahead of Rob Vincent into third place on the team’s all-time goals list.

The Riverhounds are five wins away from 200 in their history, and that spans matches in the regular season and playoffs, as well as contests in the Lamar U.S. Open Cup.
