The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will play the third of four straight road matches to start the 2019 season Saturday when they pay a visit to in-state rival Bethlehem Steel FC.
The game is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on Pittsburgh’s CW.
The teams last met in a United Soccer League conference quarterfinal playoff game in October, and the Steel beat the Riverhounds, 8-7, in penalty kicks after the teams finished extra time tied 2-2.
Pittsburgh is 0-1-1 on the young season, and the team recorded its first point of the campaign with a 2-2 draw against the Swope Park Rangers last Saturday.
Tobi Adewole and Anthony Velarde each scored a goal in the tie, with Velarde’s tally coming off a penalty shot in second-half stoppage time.
Bethlehem enters Saturday’s game having lost two in a row since a season-opening victory.
Pittsburgh is one of six teams in the USL Championship Eastern Conference seeking its first win of the season.
Tampa Bay and St. Louis FC lead the conference with seven points, as both are 2-0-1 in early-season play.
The Riverhounds make their Highmark Stadium season debut at 7 p.m. April 13 against Hartford Athletic.
