The Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Bethlehem Steel FC played to a 2-2 tie in a United Soccer League Championship Eastern Conference game Saturday evening.

It was the Riverhounds’ third of four games on the road to start the season. They now are 0-1-2 overall.

Kevin Kerr gave Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead with a goal in the fourth minute off an assist from defender Ryan James, but Bethlehem scored twice to take a 2-1 advantage into halftime.

Joe Greenspan found the back of the net for the Riverhounds in the 60th minute with a header off of a corner kick from Kenardo Forbes to tie the game.

Pittsburgh had a chance to tie the game in first-half stoppage time, but a penalty kick by Kerr was saved by Steel FC keeper Carlos.

Kerr’s goal was his 25th with the Riverhounds. He now is tied with Rob Vincent for fourth most in club history.

Pittsburgh is back in action next Saturday, April 6, against two-time defending league champion Louisville City FC (2-1-0). The match will be televised on Pittsburgh’s CW.
