As Robert Morris transitions to a new basketball conference, it will do so with men’s coach Andy Toole signed for six more seasons.

The university extended Toole’s contract through the 2025-26 season, athletics spokesman Ethan Woy confirmed Friday. Toole, 39, finished his 10th season as coach this winter.

His career record is 188-154 with a 115-63 mark against Northeast Conference opponents.

Toole would have made his second NCAA Tournament appearance with Robert Morris if not for the coronavirus pandemic. The team won the NEC championship in March before the NCAA shut down the season.

He also guided the Colonials to an NCAA berth in 2015, and two NIT appearances. RMU went 20-14 last season in its first season at UPMC Events Center.

School administrators announced in June that its athletic teams will join the Horizon League for the 2020-21 season.
