Robert Morris’ men’s basketball season will tip off against a familiar face.

The Colonials will visit Iowa on Nov. 4, for a meeting with Hawkeyes and Alvaro Folgueiras, who helped lead Robert Morris to the Horizon League regular-season and tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament last winter. The 2024-25 Horizon League Player of the Year transferred to Iowa in April.

Robert Morris will play 11 nonconference games. After visiting Iowa, RMU will play at reigning Missouri Valley Conference champion Drake on Nov. 6.

Robert Morris’ home opener is against Geneva on Nov. 10. The Colonials also will host Pitt Greensburg on Nov. 14, UIC on Nov. 26 and Toledo on Dec. 13. They will host a multi-team event, the Urban Bennett Invitational, against Southern Utah on Nov. 28 and Stetson on Nov. 30.

Other nonconference road games include St. Bonaventure on Nov. 20, Monmouth on Nov. 23 and Saint Francis on Dec. 20 for the 94th meeting of the rivalry.

“Every year we try as hard as we can to create a schedule that will prepare and test us for all we will face in Horizon League play,” coach Andy Toole said. “Creating this year’s schedule was a little bit harder than it’s been in the last couple of years, but I feel like we’ve accomplished that goal once again. We have great road tests and challenging home games that will hopefully excite our fan base to come out and get an early glimpse of the 2025-26 Robert Morris Colonials.”

Robert Morris will play 20 games in the Horizon League, one game against each of the 10 league opponents at home and on the road.

RMU begins its sixth season in the conference Dec. 4 at Green Bay. The Horizon League home opener is Dec. 17 at UPMC Events Center vs. Youngstown State. The regular season wraps up at home Feb. 28 against Cleveland State.

The Horizon League Basketball tournament will be held in early March at the Corteva Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind.
