Robert Morris’ Aislin Malcolm, a transfer from Pitt, is a preseason second-team All-Horizon League Choice.

A year after the Robert Morris women’s basketball team reached the Horizon League Tournament semifinals, the Colonials were chosen Thursday to finish as runner-up in the league standings this season.

The league’s coaches selected defending-champion Green Bay as the frontrunner to repeat.

The Phoenix garnered eight of the 11 available first-place votes.

Meanwhile, two Robert Morris players — Noa Givon and Pitt transfer Aislin Malcolm, a Chartiers Valley grad — earned second-team all-Horizon preseason honors.

Cleveland State’s Colbi Maples was tabbed as the conference’s preseason player of the year.
