Stats: Had three interceptions, one sack and 100 tackles (73 solo) in 38 games over four college seasons.

Hometown: Little Elm, Tex.

Tidbits: Spent the first two years of his college career at Ohio State as a four-star incoming recruit during the 2020 class. … According to Pro Football Focus, during this past season Watts lined up 55 snaps as an “in the box” safety and seven as a slot/nickel in addition to heavy duty as an outside cornerback. … Honorable mention all-Big 12 in 2022. Academic All-Big 12 that season. … Missed three games last season — including the Big 12 championship game — because of a back injury but was second on the team with five solo tackles in the College Football Playoff semifinal loss to Washington. … The first Texas player drafted by the Steelers since cornerback Curtis Brown (third round) in 2011.
