Saint Vincent softball headed to NCAA Tournament
After proving its worth as the top team in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference, Saint Vincent softball is set for the next step.
The Bearcats (29-14), who earned an automatic bid by winning their second PAC title, will open the NCAA Division III Tournament Friday against host DePauw (31-12) in Greencastle, Ind.
DePauw just won its third straight North Coast Athletic Conference title.
Other teams playing at Saint Vincent’s site include Maryville (28-9) and Trine (30-6).

The regional round will be completed Sunday. Sixteen regional winners will move on to the Super Regional, a best-of-three round, May 17-18.
