New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley speaks during a news conference after practice with teammates at the team’s training camp in Thursday, July 25, 2019, in East Rutherford, N.J.

Saquon Barkley is no Pat Mahomes.

Barkley, the New York Giants running back, proved this recently at preseason camp in East Rutherford, N.J., by trying a no-look pass and promptly pegging an assistant coach in the head.

"No-look. Mahomes." @saquon's impression did not go according to plan ? pic.twitter.com/rhTa1n5ZSa

Mahomes, the third-year quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, wowed NFL audiences almost weekly last season with his deft dimes.

Let's take another look at that Pat Mahomes' no-look pass.

Barkley, a former Penn State product, had a monster rookie year in 2018 gaining 1,307 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging five yards per carry. So hanging on to the ball suits him better. Just ask his coaches.

"I think he will end up being the best back to ever play the game." ?@Giants RB @saquon made QUITE the impression his rookie year. (via @NFLNetwork + @NFLFilms) #NFLTop100 pic.twitter.com/ZDyPHsulO5
