Philadelphia Phillies’ Sean Rodríguez in acton during the second inning of a baseball game against the Atlanta Braves, Saturday, July 27, 2019, in Philadelphia. Braves won 15-7.

It’s safe to say Sean Rodriguez is not a fan favorite in Philadelphia.

Rodriguez, a former utility man for the Pittsburgh Pirates, is getting hammered recently by Phillies fans on social media.

Sean Rodriguez is having one of the more forgettably underwhelming seasons that I can remember a Phillie having.

The heat was so bad Sunday night, Rodriguez was even trending on Twitter.

Hey @Phillies can we be done with Arrieta pitching hurt? And while at it let’s be done with this Sean Rodriguez experiment. #dumpsterfire

Rodriguez started for the Phillies on Sunday night only to be pinch-hit for in the third inning, by another former Pirate, Corey Dickerson.
