Seton Hill volleyball earns berth to NCAA Tournament
The Seton Hill women’s volleyball earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Tournament for the third consecutive season and fifth time in school history.
The Griffins (19-10) received a No. 7 seed and will face No. 2 Gannon (27-6) on Dec. 5 at Wheeling Jesuit, which will host the eight-team regional.
Seton Hill was the PSAC Southwest Division champion.
Mountain East champion Wheeling Jesuit (31-3), the top seed, will take on CIAA champion and No. 8 seed Fayetteville State (19-6) in the first round.
The other first-round matchups feature No. 3 seed and PSAC champion East Stroudsburg (29-6) taking on No. 6 Shepherd (28-6) in a rematch of the conference title match, and No. 4 seed Shippensburg (26-6) against No. 5 seed Millersville (25-8) in the other quarterfinal.
The winner of the Atlantic Regional will advance to the NCAA Division II championships at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
