Max Eismann’s head-turning performance in net on Saturday for the Seton Hill lacrosse team earned him special recognition.

Eismann, a junior goalkeeper, was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II Team of the Week. Only 10 players across the country make the cut each week.

Eismann also was tabbed the defensive player of the week by the Great Midwest Conference.

All the hubbub came out of an impressive game over the weekend. Eismann made a career-high 20 saves in the Griffins’ 13-11 win over No. 11 Mercyhurst. He stopped 13 shots before halftime.

Eismann, a native of Rochester, N.Y., is 6-3 with a .559 save-percentage and has 109 saves in 10 games for Seton Hill (7-3, 2-0).
