Jenna Osikowicz came back for a fifth season at Seton Hill.

It might earn her a national award.

The standout softball player from Hempfield was added to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II National Player of the Year Award watch list, one of 50 NCAA Division II players nominated.

There also is an award for the top pitcher.

Twenty-five finalists will be revealed May 5, and the winners will be announced June 2.

Osikowicz, a grad-student outfielder, leads the Griffins with a .452 batting average, 38 hits, 27 runs and six triples.

She also has five doubles, three home runs and 19 RBIs, and has not been caught stealing in 13 attempts.

Last season, Osikowicz was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year and also garnered D2CCA and NFCA all-region honors.

The NFCA player of the year award began in 2015.
