SportsNet Pittsburgh, the new television network that will carry Penguins games, hired four former members of the team to be analysts for the upcoming season.

Colby Armstrong, Phil Bourque, Jay Caulfield and Mike Rupp were named to various positions.

Armstrong and Rupp will be in-game color and studio analysts while Bourque will be an in-game color analyst. Caulfield will be a studio analyst.

Armstrong, Caulfield and Rupp all worked for SportsNet Pittsburgh’s previous incarnation, AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh. Bourque has served as color commentator for the Penguins’ radio broadcasts for the past 19 years.

Josh Getzoff, previously the play-by-play voice on radio, was named to that role for SportsNet Pittsburgh on Monday.

The first game on SportsNet Pittsburgh is scheduled to be a neutral-site contest against the Ottawa Senators in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Oct. 2.
