Pittsburgh Steelers receivers Chase Claypool, right, and James Washington celebrate after Washington’s touchdown during a game against the Buffalo Bills late last season. Two of the Steelers’ top three receivers for the rest of this season, Claypool and Washington each were limited in practice Thursday because of injury.

Wide receivers Chase Claypool and James Washington remained limited at practice during a week in which the Pittsburgh Steelers are moving on after a season-ending injury to receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Claypool has a lingering hamstring injury that prevented him from playing in the Oct. 3 game at Green Bay, and Washington did not play in this past week’s win against Denver because of a groin injury.

Smith-Schuster had season-ending shoulder surgery Wednesday.

Cornerback Cameron Sutton remained well on track to return to game action after missing the Broncos game because of a groin injury. He was was a full practice participant for a second consecutive day Thursday, as was inside linebacker Devin Bush. Bush left Sunday’s game early because of a groin injury.

Starting defensive lineman Cameron Heyward practiced fully, and backup defensive lineman Carlos Davis was a limited participant for the second straight day. Davis has not played since Week 1 because of a knee injury, and Heyward’s neck ailment has not prevented him from playing any part of any game.

The only new addition Thursday to the injury report was little-used cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, who did not practice because of “coaches decision.”
