G AIDEN WILLIAMS
Experience/age: Rookie, turns 25 in August
Contract status: $850,000 cap hit for 2025 if he makes the team, signed through 2027
The past: Williams took advantage of the extra eligibility granted by the pandemic to spend six seasons at Minnesota-Duluth, a Division II school that plays in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. He received a redshirt as a freshman, and his sophomore season was canceled by the pandemic.
He started all 40 games in which he played, mostly at tackle, and he was a first-team All-American in 2024. He also was invited to the East-West Shrine Game. In the 2022-23 seasons, Williams was part of an offensive line that paved the way for 213.7 rushing yards a game.
Williams found his way to Minnesota from Alaska, where he was raised in Anchorage. He played tight end and defensive line in high school while also serving as the team’s long snapper. In the winter, he lettered four years on the school’s basketball team.
Minnesota-Duluth OL Aiden Williams had an OUTSTANDING Pro Day at Minnesota earlier this week. These numbers give him currently a top 3 highest RAS score of any guard in the 2025 draft class.

2025 outlook: Williams is listed at 6-foot-5, 314 pounds. He received a $30,000 bonus to sign with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent. He is projected as a guard, and he was used there at the Shrine Bowl.
Williams will compete for a backup spot on the offensive line. Isaac Seumalo and Mason McCormick are the starting guards, but Seumalo is in the final year of his contract, and McCormick is entering his first full season as a starter.
If Williams shows enough in training camp and the preseason, he could push for a spot on the 53-man roster. More likely, he can try to develop on the 16-man practice squad.
