Chris Wormley’s stint on injured reserve is over after three weeks.

Wormley was activated by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, making him eligible to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field.

Wormley was placed on injured reserve Oct. 31 with a knee injury that he sustained in the previous week’s game against the Tennessee Titans. He was designated to return from injured reserve earlier in the week and had a full three days of practice with the team.

Acquired from the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason, Wormley has played sparingly as a backup defensive end for the Steelers. He has appeared in six games and has contributed three tackles.

The Steelers continue to be without tight end Vance McDonald and rookie guard Kevin Dotson, who each remain on the reserve/covid-19 list. McDonald tested positive Nov. 9 and Dotson had a positive test Nov. 14.

Running backs Jaylen Samuels (hamstring) and Trey Edmunds (quadricep) and outside linebacker Jayrone Elliott (illness) already have been ruled out from playing against the Jaguars.

The Steelers enter the game with a 9-0 record and are the only unbeaten team left in the NFL. The Jaguars are 1-8 and have lost eight games in a row.
