Tight end Eric Ebron and reserve linebacker Cassius Marsh were activated off the NFL’s reserve/covid-19 list by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, clearing the way for each to play in Sunday’s wild-card round playoff game.

Ebron and Marsh were put on the list Saturday, the same day that starting cornerback Joe Haden was. Haden, though, reportedly tested positive for coronavirus and therefore has an isolation period of a minimum of 10 days. That Ebron and Marsh were activated five days later confirms that they were merely deemed as high-risk contacts.

Despite missing the regular-season finale this past Sunday at Cleveland, Ebron finished fourth on the team in catches (56), receiving yards (558) and receiving touchdowns (five, tied).

Signed last month off the Indianapolis Colts practice squad, Marsh made his Steelers debut during the Dec. 27 game against the Colts. He played 11 defensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps in the AFC North-clinching victory, but the Steelers’ other four outside linebackers are healthy and expected to play in the 8:15 p.m. Sunday playoff game against the Browns.
