Steelers add 17 players to reserve/futures contracts, including former Saints WR Marquez Callaway
The Pittsburgh Steelers began the process of roster construction for the 2024 season by signing 17 players to reserve/futures contracts Wednesday.
The group includes nine players who finished the season on the Steelers practice squad.
Returning to the offseason roster are defensive back Luq Barcoo, wide receiver Denzel Mims, running back Jack Colletto, tackle Kellen Diesch, defensive back Jalen Elliott, wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick, defensive tackle Jonathan Marshall, center Ryan McCollom and wide receiver Duece Watts.
Another former practice squad player with the Steelers, guard Joey Fisher, also was signed to a reserve/futures contract.
The Steelers also signed tackles Tyler Beach, Devery Hamilton and Anderson Hardy, and wide receivers Marquez Callaway, Keilahn Harris, defensive tackle Jacob Slade and running back Aaron Shampkin.
Callaway spent the past four seasons with the New Orleans Saints and has caught 83 passes for 1,069 yards and seven touchdowns in his career. He was active for only three games in 2023.
Fitzpatrick and McCollom had brief stints on the Steelers’ 53-man roster last season.
