Swapping wide receivers on the 80-man roster Friday, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed former Clemson player Ray-Ray McCloud and waived former Penn State pass catcher Saeed Blacknall.

McCloud, a sixth-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2018, has played in 16 games over the past two seasons, one with Buffalo and one with Carolina.

The 5-foot-9, 190-pound McCloud was waived by Buffalo on July 27, the eve of training camp for NFL teams. He could provide depth for the Steelers as a slot receiver.

McCloud has five receptions for 36 yards in his NFL career, and he also has experience as a punt and kickoff returner. He has averaged 7.3 yards on 10 punt returns and 21.3 yards on nine kickoff returns.

At Clemson, McCloud had 127 catches for 1,226 yards and four touchdowns. He also had a punt return for a touchdown in 2017, his junior season.

Blacknall signed with the Steelers in April after playing in the XFL during the spring for the Los Angeles Wildcats. He appeared in one game with the Oakland Raiders in 2018.
