Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin likes to use the phrase, “We don’t care how you got here.” Every year, the organization backs it up by keeping one or more of its tryouts from rookie minicamp.

The Steelers announced a flurry of roster moves Monday, swapping six players onto their offseason 91-man roster. Among those added were offensive lineman Damian Prince and outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper.

Both played at colleges that had players the Steelers drafted: Prince is an undrafted rookie from Maryland, where seventh-rounder Derwin Gray played. Skipper went to Toledo with third-round receiver Diontae Johnson.

Also signed as tryouts were quarterback Delvin Hodges, who passed for more than 14,000 yards at FCS Samford, and defensive linemen Henry Mondeaux and Greg Gilmore. Hodges is a rookie. The other two are first-year players.

A veteran the Steelers signed Monday is Johnny Holton, a 27-year-old who has appeared in 32 NFL regular-season games over the past three years for the Oakland Raiders. Holton has 11 career catches for 252 yards and three touchdowns.

Among the six players released was Keion Adams, a seventh-round pick at edge rusher in 2017 who spent one season on injured reserve and one on the practice squad.

Also cut were former West Virginia receiver Ka’Raun White, offensive lineman R.J. Prince (who spent last season on the Steelers’ practice squad), defensive linemen Jay Hayes and Chris Nelson and quarterback Brogan Roback.
