Steelers announce schedule for minicamps, OTAs

With the heart of free agency and the draft now behind them, the Pittsburgh Steelers are mapping out their spring schedule.

The Steelers on Monday announced dates for their rookie minicamp, organized team activities and mandatory minicamp. Rookies and first-year players will join those on tryout contracts May 10-12 at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex on Pittsburgh’s South Side.

The dates are set for the @steelers rookie minicamp, 10 OTAs and the rookie/veteran minicamp that closes out the offseason.

The following three weeks will be the 10 OTAs — on-field practices that are voluntary but typically draw virtually the entire roster. The Steelers will hold OTAs on May 21-23, May 28-30 and June 3-6.

The team’s minicamp will be the next week, June 11-13.

The opening of training camp at Saint Vincent hasn’t been announced, but reporting day is expected to be July 25.
