The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back one of their own.

The Steelers signed outside linebacker Quincy Roche, their sixth-round draft pick in 2021, to a reserve/futures contract on Tuesday.

Roche spent the past two seasons with the New York Giants, who claimed the linebacker on waivers after he was cut at the end of the Steelers’ training camp in 2021.

Roche spent most of last season on the Giants’ practice squad. In two seasons, he appeared in 17 games (three starts). He had 36 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble.

Roche was drafted out of Miami (Fla.), where he led the ACC with three forced fumbles in 2020. He had 30 1/2 sacks, eight forced fumbles and eight fumble recoveries in his college career, which included three seasons at Temple.
