Steelers receiver Donte Moncrief gets behind Cameron Sutton during practice Monday, July 29, 2019 at St. Vincent College.

T.J. Watt and Sean Davis remained out of practice Monday at Pittsburgh Steelers training camp. Another starter joined them, but it does not appear to be serious.

Veteran receiver Donte Moncrief left toward the end of practice at Saint Vincent after he collided with Artie Burns on deep ball that was deflected to Kameron Kelly for an interception.

Moncrief left the field with training personnel and was seen with ice on the finger, but he returned to the field. Coach Mike Tomlin indicated if practice was not near its conclusion, Moncrief could have returned.

A finger injury. Tweeting in the sun is bad for your spelling. https://t.co/JgUJjeEZtR

Tomlin said there was “nothing really new” on the statuses of Watt (on the physically unable to perform list, hamstring), Davis (left ring finger) and veteran receiver/special teamer Johnny Holton (hamstring). Davis was spotted on the sidelines Monday with a splint-type apparatus on his finger.

“Maybe we will start getting some of those guys back as we come off the off day,” Tomlin said.

The first idle day of camp is Tuesday. The Steelers return to practice 2:55 p.m. Wednesday at Chuck Noll Field.
