Anthony McFarland, the speedy running back from Maryland, is the second 2020 Pittsburgh Steelers draft pick to sign his four-year rookie contract.
McFarland posted a picture on his Instagram account Monday night that showed him signing a contract. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith signed his contract earlier Monday.
The Steelers still need to sign four draft picks: second-rounder Chase Claypool, fourth-rounder Kevin Dotson, sixth-rounder Antoine Brooks Jr., and seventh-rounder Carlos Davis.
McFarland left school after his redshirt sophomore year. In his first year at Maryland, McFarland set the freshman running record with 1,034 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 7.9 yards per carry. McFarland was limited to 614 yards in 2019, but he did score eight touchdowns.
McFarland showed off his speed at the NFL Combine by running the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds.
