The Pittsburgh Steelers have their top draft pick under contract.

Second-round selection Chase Claypool signed his four-year rookie deal Wednesday night, he announced on his verified Twitter account.

“Blessed beyond belief to be a part of this organization! Time to get to work,” Claypool wrote.

Sixth-round pick Antoine Brooks Jr., a safety from Maryland, also announced his signing on his Instagram account.

The Steelers selected Claypool with the No. 49 pick, marking the fourth consecutive year they took a wide receiver on the second day.

The 6-foot-4, 229-pound Claypool ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds at the NFL Combine in February. That came after a Notre Dame career in which he caught 150 passes for 2,159 yards and 19 touchdowns. As a senior, Claypool caught 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 scores.

Claypool is projected to carry a $1.2 million salary cap hit in 2020, according to Spotrac.com. Brooks will carry a cap hit of $652,709

Brooks provides depth for the Steelers at safety and nickel linebacker. In his senior year at Maryland, he led the Terrapins with 87 tackles and 8.5 for loss.

The Steelers still need to sign two draft picks: fourth-rounder Kevin Dotson and seventh-rounder Carlos Davis.
