Steelers list of inactives against Cardinals includes CB Artie Burns
GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Pittsburgh Steelers had no surprises Sunday afternoon when they released their list of inactives for their game against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.
Running back James Conner (shoulder) and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) already were ruled out Friday. Joining them as inactives were quarterback Paxton Lynch, tackle Chuks Okorafor, tight end Zach Gentry, cornerback Artie Burns and outside linebacker Tuzar Skipper.
Burns had missed the previous two games with a knee injury, but he was removed from the injury report this past week. Rookie cornerback Justin Layne got a helmet instead of Burns. Layne had taken Burns’ spot on special teams and was active for the third game in a row.
Winners of six of their past seven games, the Steelers take a 7-5 record into their game against the 3-8-1 Cardinals. The Steelers entered the day occupying the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoff race.
The inactives for the Cardinals were wide receiver KeeSean Johnson, cornerback Jalen Davis, safety Deionte Thompson, linebacker Kylie Fitts, offensive linemen Lamont Gaillard and Josh Miles and tight end Dan Arnold.
