“Breakfast With Benz” returns to the practice fields of Saint Vincent College today.

Oh, the players return as well.

The Steelers are back at training camp after a day off. And one position that continues to be intriguing is inside linebacker.

That’s where first-round pick Devin Bush is trying to flex his muscles to become a first-year starter. Then there is recently signed Mark Barron and veteran incumbent Vince Williams.

Much of the discussion centers around how much time those three will see together.

Likely, very little. But two at a time may happen often, as the Steelers are hoping to play more nickel defense than dime this year.

That’s if Barron and Bush can handle the coverage responsibilities, while Williams is deployed as a blitzer and a run-stuffer.

But it’s a little more intricate than that, as Barron explains in this podcast — and as we hammer out even further with some coaching explanation.

Take a listen to a recent media scrum with Barron as he delves into the inside linebacker rotation and some of the strategies involved.
