The Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday named a new assistant offensive line coach, Isaac Williams.

Amidst a flurry of player moves at the position, the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday also announced a new assistant coach for their offensive line room

Isaac Williams was hired to serve behind new offensive line coach Pat Meyer, who joined the Steelers last month.

Williams has not previously worked in the NFL nor at college football’s highest level. He spent last season as the offensive line coach at North Carolina Central and the previous three on the staff at Morgan State. He also worked two seasons at Northern Colorado.

Each of the past three Steelers assistant offensive line coaches got promoted to the top gig at the position: Shaun Sarrett succeeded Mike Munchak in 2018, Adrian Klemm took over for Sarrett last year and Chris Morgan served as the primary o-line coach for the final three weeks of last season after Klemm accepted a job at the University of Oregon.

Morgan was hired as the Chicago Bears offensive line coach last month.

The Steelers have had one of the NFL’s worst-rated offensive lines the past two seasons but during the first two days of free agency signed veteran interior linemen Mason Cole and James Daniels as potential starters.
