Was named Maryland’s team MVP, second-team Big Ten by the conference’s coaches and third-team Big Ten by media. … Led the Terrapins in total tackles (87), solo tackles (69) and pass breakups (five, tied) and was second on the team in tackles for loss (8½). … Was second-team all-conference as a junior, as well, when he had 68 tackles, a team-high 9½ for loss. … Played linebacker as a freshman in 2016. … Was a high school quarterback.
