The Steelers drafted Nebraska defensive lineman Carlos Davis (right) in the seventh round Saturday.

Defensive tackle, Nebraska

6-foot-2, 313 pounds

Stats: Had 125 total tackles (58 solo, 14 for loss) with 9½ sacks, one forced fumble over 48 career games.

Hometown: Blue Springs, Mo.

Carlos Davis is headed to the Steel CIty.

Carlos’ twin brother, Khalil, played next to him on the Nebraska defensive line the past four years. Khalil was taken in the sixth round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. … Was one of the better discus throwers in the Big Ten and nationally: earned second-team All America in 2019 and honorable-Mention All American in 2018. He also threw shot put. … Carlos and Khalil were the first Huskers in more than 50 years to be eight-time letter-winners at Nebraska (four seasons each for track and football). They are the ninth and 10th eight-time letterwinners in Nebraska Athletics history. … Davis had four sacks and 32 tackles in 11 games as a senior. … First Nebraska player drafted by the Steelers since guard Keith Williams in 2011. … His 40-yard dash time of 4.82 seconds ranked ninth among 40 defensive linemen who ran at the combine. His 27 bench-press reps ranked tied for 10th.
